Polysorbate 80 is a surfactant (cleansing agent), composed of fatty acids (primarily oleic acid). Polysorbate 80 is vegan ingredient and derived from vegetable oils and has no animal byproducts in its production. It is primarily used as an emulsifier or solubilizer. It is excellent at dissolving essential oils into formulations.
